As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to develop technical knowledge, creativity and independence. You will have the opportunity to inspire young people through practical learning and contribute to a department that is committed to student progress and achievement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning and delivering creative lessons across areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering or Graphics.
- Encouraging students to develop practical skills, creativity and confidence through hands‑on learning.
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, teamwork and independent thinking.
- Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback to support improvement.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop the curriculum and contribute to wider school initiatives.

The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Design & Technology within a secondary school environment.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, practical lessons.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to supporting students of all abilities to achieve success.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
