SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Stourbridge / Surrounding Areas

Start Date: September

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

Are you passionate about helping children with special educational needs thrive in a nurturing and supportive environment? Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a well-respected SEND school in the Stourbridge area.

About the Role:

As a key part of the classroom team, you’ll work closely with teachers and therapists to support students’ academic, emotional, and social development. You’ll provide one-to-one and group support, encourage independence, and help create a calm, engaging learning environment where every child is valued.

What We’re Looking For:

A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic attitude

Experience working with children or young people (in school or care settings) is desirable but not essential

A genuine interest in supporting learners with additional needs

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

A valid Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
