Are you a caring, patient, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in children’s lives? We are currently recruiting passionate SEN Teaching Assistants to support pupils within resource bases across mainstream primary schools in Telford and surrounding areas. As an education recruitment agency, we work with a range of welcoming schools that provide specialist support for children with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children with a range of special educational needs
- Assisting with classroom activities and personalised learning plans
- Encouraging communication, social interaction, and independence
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staff
- Helping create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
- Experience working with children with SEN in a school, care, or support setting
- A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
