Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 (actual, depending on experience and qualifications) + £1,000 welcome bonus

Location: Meldreth Manor School

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (Term Time Only)

Due to our continued growth, we are seeking a committed and capable Teaching Assistant to join our NAS-accredited specialist team. This is a rewarding but challenging role, suited to individuals who are confident supporting students with complex needs. You will support students' learning, development, and wellbeing across a range of settings, working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver personalised learning programmes. You'll play a key role in building students' independence, communication, and life skills. The role requires resilience, initiative, and a calm, consistent approach to supporting behaviours that challenge. Strong teamwork, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every student are essential.

We are a specialist independent day school supporting children and young people aged 6-19 with a range of complex learning needs, including autism and associated conditions. Our highly personalised approach, combined with excellent facilities and a dedicated therapeutic team, enables students to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve meaningful outcomes in preparation for adult life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students across all areas of the curriculum - in the classroom, outdoors, and within the community
  • Assist young people with complex needs, including PMLD, autism, and medical conditions, to achieve their personal and educational goals
  • Promote an inclusive environment that values equality, diversity, and respect
  • Empower students to build confidence, independence, and resilience
  • Deliver high-quality support aligned with individual learning needs
  • Contribute to personal care routines and, where necessary, physical interventions
  • Work flexibly as part of a team, adapting to the varied needs of the school day
