A well-regarded school in Winchester is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join their team supporting children with special educational needs. The school provides specialised education tailored to children with a range of complex needs, including physical disabilities, learning difficulties, and communication challenges. Key Responsibilities:- Supporting children with special needs during lessons and activities
- Assisting in the implementation of personalised learning plans
- Encouraging social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Supporting communication and interaction through various techniques
- Maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
- A valid Child Workforce DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one at own expense
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Experience working with children with special needs is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
