SEN Teaching Assistant Wanted – Make a Real Impact This Year!
Location: Blackburn & Darwen.
Start Date: November 2025.
Salary: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience).
Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible.
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Do you have the patience, empathy, and creativity to help pupils thrive? We are currently seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming and inclusive schools in the Blackburn and Darwen area for the upcoming academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting children 1:1 or in small groups with a variety of needs (including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and Down's Syndrome).
- Working closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored interventions.
- Helping pupils engage in the curriculum and build confidence in and out of the classroom.
- Promoting emotional well-being, independence, and social development.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school or non-school setting).
- Calm, positive, and proactive attitude.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education.
- Relevant qualifications or training (desirable, but not essential).
