Teaching Personnel is recruiting five dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to join a specialist school on a temp-to-permanent basis. This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to have a lasting impact on the lives of children with complex additional needs.
Successful candidates will initially be employed through Teaching Personnel before moving onto a permanent contract directly with the school following a successful placement.

The Role
You will work closely with pupils with a range of severe and complex learning needs, providing tailored support both in and out of the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEND.
- Supporting children with a range of needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Physical disabilities
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Assisting with personal care where required, always maintaining dignity, respect, and safeguarding.
- Supporting pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver personalised learning and care plans.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEND in education, care, or support settings.
- Is patient, resilient, empathetic, and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
- Has experience or knowledge of supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, physical disabilities, or PMLD.
- Is comfortable supporting pupils with personal care when required.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to making a positive and lasting difference in the lives of children with complex needs.
