About the Role
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering meaningful, engaging learning experiences to students with complex needs. You’ll be supported by a strong team of teaching assistants, therapists, and senior leaders who are committed to inclusive education. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Teaching secondary-aged pupils with SLD, PMLD, and Autism
- Supporting and reviewing EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
- Creating a safe, calm, and inclusive classroom environment
- Working collaboratively with support staff and external professionals
- Assessing and tracking pupil progress using appropriate methods
- Promoting communication, independence, and emotional wellbeing
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and pupil care
Who We’re Looking For
We’re keen to hear from teachers who are patient, compassionate, and committed to inclusive practice. To be considered, you must have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with SEND pupils (or a strong interest in SLD, PMLD, and Autism)
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- A good understanding of SEND strategies and differentiated teaching
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
