What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to individual ALN needs
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment where pupils feel safe, supported and inspired
- Work collaboratively with therapists, support staff and specialist practitioners
- Embed sensory strategies, communication techniques and therapeutic approaches into your teaching
- Help pupils develop independence, confidence and essential life skills
- Monitor progress and adapt learning to ensure every pupil can succeed
- Build strong relationships with families, colleagues and learners
- Contribute to the school's continued success and development
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Registration with the EWC (or eligibility to register)
- An Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Experience within SEN education, or a genuine passion for building a career within the ALN/SEN sector
- Experience working within a Hearing-Impaired service, or a strong willingness to learn
- Makaton skills (desirable) not essential
- The ability to travel to the school and between sites when required
