SEN Teaching Assistant - Bury (BL0)

Teaching Personnel are looking for an experienced and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Bury, BL0 area.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with autism and ADHD, who understands that every child learns differently.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide high-needs SEN support both in and outside of the classroom
- Support children with autism and ADHD
- Use NBIW and next-step boards
- Provide brain breaks and sensory strategies
- Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
- Adapt learning and activities to meet individual needs
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support
- Support children working at their own individual workstations
- Follow SENDCO plans and individual support strategies
- Work closely with teachers and the wider school team
- Liaise with families and external agencies
- Encourage independence, confidence and engagement with learning
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working with children with SEN
- Has experience supporting high-needs pupils
- Has a good understanding of autism and ADHD
- Is patient, caring, calm and consistent
- Can build strong relationships with children
- Is confident adapting learning to meet individual needs
- Has excellent communication skills
- Is passionate about helping children reach their potential
A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification would be desirable, although relevant experience will also be considered.
Hours & Pay
From Β£14.25 per hour
Part-time and full-time hours available
