Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs? We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join a welcoming and nurturing residential school located in the Preston PR3 area. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, starting on an agency basis with the potential to move into a permanent position for the right candidates.

About the Role:

  • As a Support Worker, you will support children and young people with a range of complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and associated behaviours.
  • Your role will involve working in both residential and educational settings, and responsibilities include:
  • Providing emotional and practical support in a consistent, person-centred way
  • Promoting independence and positive routines
  • Supporting with daily living tasks, personal care, and educational activities
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with young people and the wider care team
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting safeguarding concerns appropriately

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, autism, or complex needs (preferred but not essential - training provided)
  • Resilient, empathetic, and patient individuals
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins (rota-based)

Location: Preston (PR3) - own transport desirable due to location. Direct public transport from Blackburn Bus Station.
