We are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN Teacher to join a well-established primary specialist provision in Bury on a maternity cover basis starting in September. This setting supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, communication needs and moderate learning difficulties. The school has a strong reputation for its structured approach, high levels of support staff and focus on individualised learning.
The Role
- Take full responsibility for a class, delivering lessons that are adapted to meet a range of needs, while creating a consistent and supportive learning environment.
- Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons.
- Creating a structured and predictable classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils’ communication and engagement.
- Managing behaviour in a calm and consistent way.
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants and SEN staff.
- Monitoring and tracking individual progress.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS or equivalent qualification.
- Experience within primary SEN or Autism settings.
- Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation.
- A calm, structured and reliable approach.
- Able to commit full time for the academic year.
