Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist outreach team supporting children and young people who are not currently accessing mainstream education. This is a highly rewarding role working 1:1 and in small groups, supporting learners in their homes, community settings, and alternative provisions to help them re-engage with education and build confidence.
The Role:
- Full-time, long-term opportunity
- Outreach-based SEN support (not classroom based)
- Working with children with SEMH, ASD, and complex needs
- Delivering tailored learning and intervention sessions
- Supporting engagement, emotional regulation, and routine building
Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Term time only
Essential Requirements:
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
- Must be willing to travel across Plymouth and surrounding areas
- Ability to obtain business insurance for travel with learners
- Confident working independently in community and home-based settings

- Is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
