We are currently working with a specialist secondary school in Bury who are looking to appoint a full-time Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This is a long-term opportunity supporting pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism, communication difficulties and learning challenges. The school is well-established and places a strong emphasis on consistency, routine and building positive relationships to support pupils both academically and emotionally.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils throughout the school day, supporting them to access lessons and remain engaged in a structured environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing targeted 1:1 support for pupils who require additional assistance
- Supporting small group activities within the classroom
- Assisting with lesson delivery and adapting resources where necessary
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour
- Encouraging independence and positive engagement
