Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to work in a welcoming and inclusive school in the Reading area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual needs
  • Foster a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff and parents
  • Promote the development of students’ social skills, independence, and confidence

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • A relevant qualification in education or care (e.g., CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent) is advantageous

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
