We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and specialist school setting in Skelmersdale, starting in September.
Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted interventions to pupils with SEN/SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Support pupils with behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement in learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff to implement personalised support plans.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback on pupil development.
- Support learning both inside and outside of the classroom, including practical and engaging activities.

- All pay rates inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience working with SEN/SEMH pupils.
- Experience delivering or supporting interventions.
- Confident supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Resilient, proactive, and patient approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Ability to build trust and engage hard-to-reach pupils.
- Hands-on and adaptable teaching assistant.
- Team player committed to achieving the best outcomes for pupils.
- Eligible for, and will undertake, a valid DBS check.
- Candidates must have or be able to obtain appropriate qualifications and training for the role.
