We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive school in Tenbury Wells for an experienced and organised SEN Administrator.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a vital role in supporting the school's Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, ensuring accurate administration and effective communication between staff, parents, and external agencies.

Working closely with the SENCO and wider school team, you will help ensure that all statutory processes are managed efficiently and that pupils receive the support they need to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SENCO and SEN department.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential pupil records and SEN documentation.
  • Coordinate and monitor Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), annual reviews and statutory deadlines.
  • Prepare reports, meeting documentation and correspondence.
  • Arrange meetings with parents, carers, local authorities and external professionals.
  • Liaise with teaching staff and external agencies to gather and distribute relevant information.
  • Update school management systems and maintain accurate databases.
  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation, school policies and GDPR requirements.
  • Respond professionally to enquiries from parents, staff and external agencies.
  • Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the SEN department.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
  • A positive, proactive and professional approach.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Previous experience within a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of SEND processes and EHCP administration.
  • Experience using school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor or Bromcom.
  • Understanding of SEND legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Completion of safeguarding training and a valid DBS check.
  • Ability to work safely with children and adhere to safeguarding procedures.
