Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting passionate and experienced SEMH/SEND Teachers to support a growing specialist school. We are seeking a range of subject specialists, including Science, Food Technology, and Art & Design, although teachers of all subject areas are encouraged to apply. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated and supportive team within a school that caters to pupils aged 7–16 years, with approximately 70 students currently on roll. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for learners with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of SEMH/SEND pupils
  • Support students’ academic progress, emotional wellbeing, and personal development
  • Manage behaviour effectively using positive and restorative approaches
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, leadership, and external professionals
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven teaching experience (essential), ideally within an SEMH or SEND setting
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
  • A compassionate, resilient, and adaptable approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
