Teaching Personnel are proud to be supporting a well-recognised and forward-thinking SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in South Liverpool. This specialist setting is dedicated to supporting young people who require a nurturing, structured, and engaging learning environment to help them succeed both academically and personally.

We are seeking a committed and resilient SEMH Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to students with SEMH needs
  • Build strong, positive relationships to support pupils' emotional and academic development
  • Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and wellbeing
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and senior leadership
  • Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3/KS4 level (SEMH or SEND experience desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and engage students
