We are recruiting Secondary Early Career Teachers for secondary schools across Manchester for a September 2026 start. This opportunity is ideal for newly qualified teachers or final‑year trainees looking to secure their first ECT role in a supportive secondary school with a strong induction process and structured mentoring in line with the Early Career Framework.
Roles are available on a permanent, fixed‑term or long‑term basis, depending on preference.
Responsibilities- Teach your subject specialism across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available in some schools)
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Track pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Work closely with mentors, heads of department and senior leaders
- Complete your statutory ECT induction with structured support
