Overview

Secondary Cover Teacher – Location: Greenwich. Start Date: Immediate. Contract Type: Full Time – Flexible. Pay Rate: £120- £180 per day (depending on experience).

Teaching Personnel is currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Cover Teacher to join our pool of trusted supply staff, working with secondary schools across the Greenwich area. Whether you\’re an experienced educator or an early-career teacher looking to build experience, we have flexible cover roles waiting for you in vibrant schools.

Responsibilities

  • QTS or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification (Not mandatory)
  • Must have transferable teaching experience to work within secondary schools
  • Delivering pre-set work and leading classes in the absence of teachers
  • Managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils
  • Up-to-date Prevent and Safeguarding training (certification required)
  • Strong classroom management and adaptability in different school environments
  • Enhanced DBS (Child Only) on the Update Service (or willingness to apply via Teaching Personnel at a discounted rate)
  • Working alongside senior teachers to improve attainment across a range of abilities
