About the Role: As Second in Department – Mathematics, you’ll support the Head of Maths in driving up standards, leading on curriculum development, and inspiring a love of learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You’ll take on a key leadership role within a collaborative and high-performing team. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting the strategic direction of the Maths department Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach at KS5 depending on experience Leading on curriculum planning, assessment, and intervention Supporting, mentoring, and developing less experienced colleagues Using data to monitor student progress and drive achievement Contributing to enrichment opportunities and maths-focused extra-curricular activities Upholding the school’s strong culture of academic excellence and inclusion What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong Maths subject specialism A proven track record of excellent teaching and student outcomes Leadership experience or readiness to step into a middle leadership role A commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing Experience working with SEND learners is highly desirable A collaborative approach and a passion for professional development Why Join This School?
