Overview

Tutor Vacancies – English, Maths & Science (GCSE Level)

We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Tutors to work 1:1 with young people in English, Maths and/or Science, supporting learning up to GCSE level.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and/or Science
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
  • Build positive, supportive relationships with young people
  • Support learners who may be disengaged from mainstream education
  • Sessions may take place within a school setting or in public spaces such as libraries, depending on the learner’s needs.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience teaching or tutoring at least one subject (English, Maths or Science) up to GCSE level
  • Experience working with young people with additional needs, such as:
  • Autism
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
  • Medical needs
  • Ability to plan and deliver personalised, learner-centred sessions
  • Patient, flexible and empathetic approach

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification
  • Experience working outside of traditional classroom settings
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

This role is ideal for tutors who are passionate about making a real difference and supporting young people to re-engage with learning in a way that works for them.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
