Overview
Tutor Vacancies – English, Maths & Science (GCSE Level)
We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Tutors to work 1:1 with young people in English, Maths and/or Science, supporting learning up to GCSE level.
The Role
- Deliver engaging 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and/or Science
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs
- Build positive, supportive relationships with young people
- Support learners who may be disengaged from mainstream education
- Sessions may take place within a school setting or in public spaces such as libraries, depending on the learner’s needs.
Essential Requirements
- Experience teaching or tutoring at least one subject (English, Maths or Science) up to GCSE level
- Experience working with young people with additional needs, such as:
- Autism
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
- Medical needs
- Ability to plan and deliver personalised, learner-centred sessions
- Patient, flexible and empathetic approach
Desirable
- Teaching qualification
- Experience working outside of traditional classroom settings
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
