Job Title: Secondary School Science Teacher (KS3 & KS4) | Location: Cheltenham, Gloucestershire | Contract Type: Full-Time / Part-Time | Start Date: November 2025

Responsibilities

About the Role:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons across the Physics, Biology, and Chemistry curriculum, introducing students to the fascinating world of science and guiding them all the way to exam success.

  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated science lessons for KS3 & KS4
  • Assessing and tracking student progress through regular marking and feedback
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel supported
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive approach to curriculum delivery
  • Being ready to adapt and respond to the varied challenges of day-to-day school life

Qualifications

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • A calm and confident classroom presence, able to maintain a supportive and structured environment
  • Flexibility and resilience – capable of adapting to different situations with professionalism
  • A genuine passion for science and a commitment to inspiring young learners
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to lesson planning and assessment
