The Role
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Science teacher to join our growing and committed staff team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated teacher who has the passion and drive to make a real impact on teaching and learning. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons, maintaining high standards in the classroom and contributing positively to pupil outcomes. You will be supported by experienced colleagues and will work as part of a collaborative department that values professional dialogue and continual improvement. The ability to support and promote the use of Welsh within the classroom and wider school life is desirable. We are looking for a reflective and forward-thinking practitioner who will contribute to the wider life of our school, including extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives.

- Qualified Teacher Status (or working towards it)
- An honours degree in a relevant subject (Science based)
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Experience of working with pupils across a range of abilities
- Experience of working collaboratively with colleagues to raise attainment
- Strong subject knowledge and an understanding of current educational developments
- An understanding of effective teaching across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good ICT skills and the ability to use technology to enhance learning
- The ability to motivate and inspire pupils
- Enthusiasm, resilience and a genuine passion for teaching
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure
- A commitment to safeguarding, wellbeing and the wider life of our school
- Excellent written and spoken English
- The ability to speak Welsh, or a willingness to develop Welsh language skills
