SEN Teaching Assistant - Make a Difference Every Day! Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs? Looking for a rewarding role where no two days are the same? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role
- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning and intervention programmes
- Supporting children with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH)
- Building positive relationships to encourage confidence, independence and engagement
- Promoting positive behaviour and creating a safe, nurturing learning environment
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
We're Looking For
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN (school or care experience welcomed)
- A patient, caring and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to adapt learning to meet individual needs
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
