A new special education free school in Salisbury is seeking a new KS3 Maths Teacher to join their team!

The Role

  • You will be responsible for planning and delivering Maths lessons to KS3 Secondary level students with various SEN needs such as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASC), and other behavioural difficulties.
  • You will be working closely with and be supported by teaching assistants and senior leaders to create a productive, nurturing and supportive learning environment.
  • This school has great facilities to aid the learning, needs, and comfort of its students to ensure they are safe, happy, and ready to learn.

Who Are We Looking For

  • QTS or equivalent Maths specialist or a teacher with proven experience planning and delivering a Maths curriculum.
  • An innovative, resilient, and patient individual with a passion for teaching Maths!
  • SEN(D) experience in or out of an educational setting.
  • Clear verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists and other support staff.
  • Understanding of positive behaviour support strategies.
  • Comfortable working with Secondary School children (specifically KS3).
  • Ability to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and safely.

Working Hours/Benefits

  • Full Time.

  • 12.07% Holiday Pay.
  • Please note, this role is Term-Time Only.
