We are currently looking for a confident, enthusiastic and reliable HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming junior school based in central Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has previous experience working within a school environment and is looking to take the next step in their education career.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has previous experience working within a school setting
- Is confident supporting pupils across the classroom
- Has strong communication and behaviour-management skills
- Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
- Is able to build positive and professional relationships with pupils and staff
- Is proactive, reliable and confident working independently
- Can adapt to the changing needs of the classroom
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their potential
- Ideally holds HLTA experience or a relevant qualification, although a highly experienced TA will also be considered
The Role
Depending on your experience, the role may involve leading small groups, delivering interventions, supporting individual pupils and assisting the class teacher with the day-to-day running of the classroom. The school is looking for someone who is confident, dependable and able to hit the ground running from September.
Requirements
- Previous experience working within a school setting
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- A strong understanding of safeguarding
- The right to work in the UK

- A professional and positive approach to working with children
- A local candidate based in or around central Salisbury is highly desirable.
