A welcoming and supportive primary school in Central Salisbury is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HLTA or an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school, with a particular focus on Key Stage 2.
The Role
- Deliver planned lessons and cover classes in the absence of the class teacher.
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
- Work closely with class teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences.
- Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups to help pupils achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to assessment, pupil progress, and classroom organisation.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or has relevant experience in a similar role.
- Has previous experience working within a primary school setting.
- Has experience supporting or working within Key Stage 2.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Is passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
