Teaching Personnel are working with Early Years settings and primary schools across the Salisbury area who are seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children in Nursery and Reception settings. This role is ideal for someone with solid Early Years experience who can confidently support children’s development, routines and wellbeing in a busy, nurturing environment.
About the Role
- Support children in Nursery and Reception settings
- Assist with play‑based learning and EYFS activities
- Support children’s social, emotional and communication development
- Work 1:1 and in small groups where required
- Support daily routines including toileting, nappy changing and transitions
- Support outdoor learning and free‑flow play
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment
- Work closely with teachers, practitioners and support staff
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working in Early Years or private nursery settings
- Strong understanding of EYFS and early child development
- Confident supporting young children with additional needs
- Calm, nurturing and patient approach
- Able to use initiative and adapt to children’s needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
