About the Role

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both academically and emotionally. You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to deliver tailored learning experiences and ensure each child feels safe, engaged, and valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs
  • Assist in the delivery of individualised learning plans (EHCPs)
  • Support students with communication, sensory, and personal care needs
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external professionals
  • Monitor and record student progress and wellbeing

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with SEN (PMLD, SLD, ASC)
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to different needs and learning styles
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
