SEN Classroom Support Assistant - Salford
Full-Time | September Start
Teaching Personnel are looking for a SEN Classroom Support Assistant to join a specialist primary school in Salford this September.
You'll support pupils aged 4-11 with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, learning difficulties, sensory needs, and SEMH challenges. Working in a supportive and inclusive environment, you'll help children develop confidence, independence, and key learning skills.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
- Help children engage with lessons and classroom activities.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Support communication, social skills, and independence.
- Work closely with teachers to meet individual pupil needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or individuals with additional needs is desirable.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
