Teaching Personnel is working with a specialist SEN primary school in Salford seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join their team this September.

You will be supporting pupils with a range of needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD), speech and language needs, sensory processing difficulties, and communication challenges.

This is a rewarding opportunity to help children develop confidence, independence, and essential life skills while supporting them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils.
  • Support learning activities and classroom engagement.
  • Encourage communication, social interaction, and independence.
  • Assist with implementing individual support plans and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and SEN staff.
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Celebrate and support pupils' personal and academic achievements.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
  • A patient, caring, and positive attitude.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
  • The ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
  • Relevant SEN experience is advantageous but not essential.
