Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Salford that is looking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 1 from September. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to play a key role in supporting children during the early stages of their education. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils to help create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
As a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development, helping them build the foundations for future learning and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support within Key Stage 1, working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum.
- Support the development of early literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
- Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs, including SEND and EAL.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help maintain a productive classroom atmosphere.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support children's progress and wellbeing.
- Monitor pupil engagement and progress, providing feedback to teaching staff where appropriate.

Requirements
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within Key Stage 1.
- A positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a school team.
- Confidence supporting early reading, writing, and maths development.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
