We’re currently looking for a SEND Support Specialist to work across secondary schools in Rochdale and Oldham, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs and helping them access their education in a positive and inclusive environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience working with young people with SEND, whether that’s within a school, college, care setting or specialist provision.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEND
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Help students engage positively with their learning
- Support behaviour, emotional regulation and confidence
- Work closely with teachers and the wider pastoral/SEND team
- Adapt your approach to meet individual students’ needs
- Encourage independence and help pupils develop key social and educational skills
