We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant (TA3) to provide KS1 support on a supply basis. This role is ideal for a confident and adaptable TA who can step into different school environments and make an immediate positive impact on pupils’ learning and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support KS1 pupils in the classroom, both in small groups and on a 1:1 basis
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, including SEND where required
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development
- Provide support with phonics, literacy, numeracy, and classroom routines
- Ensure pupils’ safety and wellbeing, following safeguarding procedures at all times
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience supporting children within KS1
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
- Ability to adapt quickly to different school settings
- Confident classroom presence with excellent communication skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
