We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Female PE Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Rochdale from October 2026 on a one-year contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced PE Teacher or an ECT looking to join a supportive school with a strong focus on pupil progress, participation and wellbeing.
The Role
- You will be responsible for delivering engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students of all abilities to participate and develop their confidence and skills.
- The successful candidate will:
- Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Motivate and engage students of all abilities
- Contribute to the wider PE department and extracurricular activities
- Monitor and assess student progress
- Promote positive behaviour and high expectations
- Build strong relationships with students and colleagues
The Ideal Candidate
- Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is currently completing their teacher training
- Has experience teaching PE within a secondary school
- Is passionate about sport and education
- Can create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and committed to supporting students
