We're working with a fantastic secondary school in Rochdale that is looking to appoint an

Exclusion Manager to join their pastoral team on a permanent basis this October.

As Exclusion Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting students who are at risk of exclusion, managing the school's internal exclusion provision, and helping pupils successfully reintegrate into school.

You'll work closely with teachers, parents, safeguarding staff, and external agencies to make sure every student receives the support they need to succeed.

  • Managing the school's internal exclusion room and supporting students throughout their time there.
  • Working with students to understand the reasons behind their behaviour and helping them make positive changes.
  • Creating reintegration plans and supporting students as they return to lessons.
  • Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and outside agencies.
  • Working alongside the pastoral and safeguarding teams to promote positive behaviour across the school.
  • Keeping accurate records and contributing to behaviour and attendance meetings.
  • Experience working in a pastoral, behaviour, inclusion, or student support role within a UK secondary school.
  • Someone who can remain calm, approachable, and confident when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with both students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to education.

  • All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
