We’re currently looking for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Rochdale and Oldham, supporting students and supervising classes in the absence of their usual teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers and those with experience working with young people. Full training and ongoing support will be provided, so previous experience as a Cover Supervisor isn’t essential.
The Role
- Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4 when their teacher is unavailable
- Deliver pre-prepared work and ensure students remain focused and engaged
- Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently
- Build positive relationships with students and staff
- Support the smooth running of the school day
- Gain valuable experience within a secondary school environment
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working with children or young people is beneficial
- Confident communication and classroom management skills
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude
- The ability to build good relationships with students
