The Role
You will work closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), providing tailored support throughout the school day.
Every day is different, from supporting learning in the classroom to developing communication, independence and life skills.
- Your Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autism and additional learning needs.
- Use visual aids, structured routines and communication strategies to promote engagement.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Build trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, confident and ready to learn.
- Assist with sensory activities and personalised learning programmes.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families to support individual EHCP targets.
- Support personal care where required.
