Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting a committed and proactive Teaching Assistant to support a vibrant primary school in the NP11 area from September 2026. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about helping young learners reach their full potential in a nurturing classroom environment.
Your Role in School
- Assisting pupils during lessons to ensure understanding and engagement
- Delivering intervention sessions and supporting literacy/numeracy development
- Providing additional support to pupils with ALN or SEMH needs
- Supporting behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Preparing classroom resources and assisting with lesson setup
- Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
What We’re Looking For
- Prior experience working with children or young people
- Enthusiastic, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Adaptable and confident supporting children with varying needs
- Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
- Relevant TA qualifications are welcomed but not essential
