Overview

A well‑respected secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join its successful Humanities department from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to inspire young people to explore religion, philosophy, and ethics while developing their critical thinking, empathy, and understanding of the diverse world around them.

You will teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will deliver engaging, thought‑provoking lessons that encourage students to question, analyse, and debate a wide range of moral, ethical, and philosophical issues, fostering curiosity, respect, and independent thinking.

Qualifications & Experience

• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, or equivalent).
• Strong organisational skills and classroom management skills.
• Able to plan and deliver structured and professional lessons.
• A strong subject knowledge and experience teaching Religious Education.
• The ability to build rapport and strong communication skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability within the classroom, tailoring education to each student’s needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
