We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Business Studies Teacher to join our educational institution in Reading, Berkshire. - Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective Business Studies lessons in accordance with the curriculum and examination board requirements.
- Develop teaching materials and resources that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Support students’ academic and personal development by offering guidance and encouragement.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum development, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.

Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Studies, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related subject.
- Strong academic background in Business Studies or related discipline at degree level or higher.
- Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to secondary education and Business Studies.
- Proven experience teaching Business Studies at secondary or further education level.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Business Studies curriculum and current examination specifications.
- Strong subject knowledge in areas such as marketing, finance, business operations, and economics.
- Proficiency in utilising educational technology and digital resources to enhance learning.
- Further qualifications or training in education, such as a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent.
- Experience in delivering vocational Business qualifications or BTEC courses.
- Familiarity with strategies for supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Full-time working hours, typically during standard school hours with occasional additional hours for meetings, preparation, and events. Engagement in activities outside of direct teaching, including professional development and departmental collaboration. Responsible for maintaining a safe and positive learning environment in line with school policies. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
