About the Role
- Provide a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children, adhering to room ratios and policies.
- Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, ensuring detailed, quality record keeping.
- Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are always maintained, completing risk assessments, hazard logs and documentation as required.
- Oversee the settling in of new children, liaising closely with caregivers and fellow staff members to ensure a smooth transition.
Requirements
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification – this is essential.
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Previous nursery or childcare experience - essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
