Secondary School Humanities Teacher – South West London

Flexible Opportunities | Immediate Start Available

We are working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across South West London who are seeking committed and knowledgeable Humanities Teachers to support their departments across Religious Education, Geography and History. These opportunities are ideal for qualified teachers, ECTs or experienced cover teachers looking for flexible work, day-to-day cover or longer-term placements within supportive school environments.

Role Details

  • Position: Humanities Teacher (RE, Geography, History)
  • Location: South West London (including Wandsworth, Merton, Lambeth, Kingston and nearby boroughs)
  • Working Pattern: Flexible – day-to-day, short-term and long-term roles available
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Type: Full-time and part-time opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging and structured Humanities lessons across RE, Geography and/or History
  • Following pre-planned lessons or planning where required
  • Effectively managing classroom behaviour in line with school policy
  • Teaching and supporting students across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential)
  • Assessing student progress and providing feedback where required
  • Upholding safeguarding, behaviour and school-wide expectations

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism or experience in RE, Geography and/or History
  • Confident classroom and behaviour-management skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students across KS3–KS4
  • Flexible, reliable and professional approach
  • Ability to travel to secondary schools across South West London
