We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Art to join a thriving mainstream secondary school in the BB4 area of Lancashire. This is an exciting full‑time opportunity for an inspirational educator to teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 from September until December 2026, with the possibility of an extension for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will have a genuine enthusiasm for Art and Design, a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning, and the ability to inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive Art lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Foster a positive and creative learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively.
  • Encourage students to explore a range of artistic techniques, materials, and processes.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and participation.
  • Contribute positively to the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
  • Experience teaching Art within a UK secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for creative education.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • The ability to motivate and engage learners of varying abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
