We are currently looking for dedicated and compassionate SEN Tutors in Rainham to provide one‑to‑one tuition for children and young people with additional learning needs.
As an SEN Tutor, you will deliver tailored tuition sessions designed to meet the individual needs of each learner. Working outside of a traditional classroom setting, you will help students develop confidence, independence, and a more positive relationship with education.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging one‑to‑one tuition sessions
- Support learners with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, anxiety, and other additional needs
- Adapt teaching methods and lesson content to suit different learning styles
- Encourage motivation, confidence and independent learning
- Build supportive and professional relationships with learners and families
- Monitor student progress and adapt sessions where necessary
- Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable
- Backgrounds in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, support work or care are advantageous
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures and responsibilities
