Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative and challenging Spanish lessons across Key Stages 3-4 (KS5 if applicable)

  • Use a range of pedagogical strategies to support students of all abilities, including EAL learners

  • Develop pupils\’ skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing in line with national curriculum and exam board standards

  • Foster cultural awareness and internationalism within lessons

  • Track and assess progress, set meaningful targets and provide feedback in line with school policy

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
A degree in Spanish, Modern Languages or a related subject
Ability to teach Spanish to GCSE (A-Level desirable)
Strong subject knowledge and passion for Spanish language and Hispanic culture

Desirable Experience

  • Teaching a second MFL (e.g., French)

  • Familiarity with AQA or Edexcel MFL specifications
