We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Primary Teacher to join our specialist SEND provision, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a highly supportive and inclusive environment.

You will be responsible for delivering a creative, flexible, and differentiated curriculum tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including (but not limited to) ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and communication needs.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with EHCP targets
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and external professionals
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to track progress and adapt teaching
  • Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers, and colleagues
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working within a primary setting
  • Experience or strong interest in SEND education
  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience working in a SEND school or provision
  • Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or other communication tools
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEMH or Autism
