Are you a passionate Teacher or Teaching Assistant looking for flexible work across Southport and surrounding areas?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting Primary Teachers and Teaching Assistants to support a range of welcoming and supportive schools. Whether you are looking for day-to-day supply, short-term placements, or long-term roles, we have opportunities to suit your availability.

  • Teaching Assistants: £14.25 to £15.50 per hour
  • Teachers: £120 to £160 per day. Rates are dependent on experience, qualifications, and responsibilities.
  • A dedicated consultant – Morgan, with 5 years of hands‑on experience in education, including behaviour, safeguarding, pastoral, and teaching roles
  • A personalised, knowledgeable approach from someone who understands school environments
  • Your own online diary, allowing you to update your availability, which feeds directly into our system to help maximise your work opportunities
  • Access to a wide network of consultants and branches, increasing both the volume and variety of roles available
  • Flexible opportunities including part time, full time, short term, and long term work

We work closely with a large number of schools who trust us to provide high quality, reliable educators. This strong reputation regularly leads to opportunities for long term placements and permanent contracted roles, giving you the chance to secure something more stable if that is your goal.

We offer a wide range of CPD courses, both free and paid, helping you to upskill and strengthen your profile. These are highly valued by schools and can support you in securing longer term roles and progressing in your career.

  • Relevant experience working with children or within education
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils’ learning and development
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please submit a CV that clearly outlines all relevant experience and qualifications, includes full education history, and accounts for any gaps in employment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel undertakes safeguarding checks in accordance with DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' and may conduct an online search as part of due diligence.
